Where/how should I upload them?

Best thing would be to login directly to Hotline from your Quadra and then upload them to the uploads folder on the Hotline server. Alternatively, I could give you ftp details but since you're already on Hotline :-)

Card games are great. At one point you get to a certain age where the hard action of a FPS becomes less welcoming and relaxing card game while drinking your favorite hot beverage ever more so :D

I used to play a lot of "Solitaire till Dawn". I haven't tried Seahaven Towers. Is that a tough one to get into?

Got them! Thank you very much, going to play around with them in a minute :-)

Btw, don't know if news reached you already, the Frogblast issue should be fixed, so your lovely iMac G3 should be able to join natively. Give it at try.

I honestly don't know what it is about Seahaven Towers but it seems to have the right combo of a comfy look-and-feel, sounds, and pretty straightforward game play. I suppose it looked more nicely done aesthetically than other card games I tried on my Macs, it just became a favorite. That and it seems to play somewhat but not quite like other Solitaire games in that you can only stack and move cards of the same suit with one another.

But at the end of the day, while it is just another Solitaire-like card game like so many others, this one was the original idea crafted by its game creator, which to me gave full creds to this Classic Mac game maker! And he originally launched it as freeware with no nag screens of any kind, c'mon now; of course I had to fall in love with this genius little game! ;)

So pull up your fav beverage and enjoy!! :D

@Neal_SE30 - Unfortunately it won't help you to stay warm during a cold winter night. ;)

Seriously, think of it as an IRC platform that is hooked to a specific server (only). So opposite to ICQ its not channel but server based. You all need to be connected to the same Hotline server to talk to one another and Hotline servers don't talk to each other by default.

@Neal
Here's an excellent Quicktime video about Hotline that does a phantastic job of explaining where it came from and what it was or has contributed to the tech world. Recommending it, it's really good!

We run a Hotline server for System 7 Today. Join up!  :-)

Excellent -- hope you enjoy them!

And yes, I was delighted to get onto the Hotline server today via Frogblast with Delores (http://home.macintosh.garden/~mac-cellar/my_macs.html#Dolores), my iMac :)

I’m loving the fact you name you macs too :)

I named mine:-
Se/30 is zippy
Imac is Rosemary
6200 is Rhubarb
Mac mini is Custard
6500 i’ve not named.

Loving your page!! Damn i must start mine, i am struggling to get started to do it on my se/30 in direct html so may cheat and do the main structure on my g3 and port into the se/30 to type it up.

Nice names! We actually had a thread on Mac names, you should really post yours there to complete it :-)

And yes, possibly using the Rosemarry to create the basic structure with a helper application might be the way to go.

Bit the bullet and set up iCab 2.9.9 on my Basilisk II "basil".

Currently logged into S7T of course ;)

Basil think's he's a Quadra 800 and is presently running Mac OS 7.6.1

Running smoothly, and faster than on my Centris. Am about to try MpegDec and take that for a spin.

Oops - just tried the S7T search feature to look for that (fairly recent) thread on MpegDec and got slapped in the face with this:

Ugh. I'll go look for it manually...

- Found it - A music stream player running on 68k ?   :)

Recently found a sealed copy of ClarisWorks 2.1 - complete with shrikwrapped manuals and docs.  Installed from the floppies on the Quadra last night.  Still my favorite iteration of ClarisWorks and one I did a lot of things on way back when.
