I switched my Kaleidoskope scheme to Tubular II today and I am LOVING IT!

Update: Made up my mind and I am not going back to Platinum. My world is now steely alloy and tubular.  ;)

Sounds like an awesome plan! You don't want to write a short walkthrough the game for the Cheat Emporium ? :)

Lots and lots. Still looking for help in people writing walkthroughs, tips & tricks and such! Especially for Mac-only shareware games there's often no source to be found.

I installed Interactive Quantum Mechanics On The Macintosh on my PowerMac running System 7.6 yesterday. I think I have it installed on two of my three running machines so far. Works on Mac OS 8 as well.

I also installed Macaulay to exercise what I learn about algebraic geometry. Up next will be Macintosh Common Lisp when I get a spare chance.

Shuffled 2GB of fun & games onto my HD volume, used the nifty tool Doublet Scan to weed out any … well duplicates and pilfered the Garden's entire Science & Math category from I as in Invest Calc to C as in Cricket Graph.

And now I'll go to sleep to recharge for another day.  ;)

Very nice to see I'm not the only one checking the Garden for this "interactive CD-ROM" stuff. One of my favorites that I keep coming back every now and then (lately with my eldest daughter) is The Way Things Work. Highly recommended!

Maybe we should add a section to System 7 Today about the best reference & science CD-ROMs for System 7 :)

Other than that, I'm back to testing e-mail clients on my IIci for a big write-up / comparison on e-mail client options in 2022.

Oh, and I went back to install Warlords II. Big mistake. (where did all my free time go?) :-D

TWTW was one of my fav downloads, as I am a great fan of the associated TV series. I can watch that stuff for hours on end.  :D

Btw, found out by sheer accident that MacOS HFS+ seems to manage file handles the same that Linux does. Meaning you can move a file (within the same FS) once its opened and the app will not lose connection to it.

Opposite to dreaded DosWin, where even a simple rename operation causes I/O to fail.

Having spend way too much time - again - in the dark crevasse of the Internet Archive and having sucked myself across the entire "Utility" category of the Garden I ended up installing and updating a couple of hundred Megs of Tools, Apps and System Software.

Prime among them were NewNOTEPAD II and Notepad Deluxe.

Those are two top notch hierarchical editors with (limited) hypertext capabillities and nifty import/export functions.

NewNotepad II was my favorite Mac note taking application. Simple stable and very capable everything wanted in a useful excellent application.
