As life permits I'm still taking my shots of "retro internet experience" thanks to wiby.org. Using its "surprise me" feature Netscape rendered a neat website yesterday - Cats that look like Hitler. :-D http://www.catsthatlooklikehitler.com/cgi-bin/seigbest.pl |

Wiby is terrific! I used the "surprise me" last night and landed on a website devoted to information on vacuum tubes.

Whew, snes ... would you by any chance tell us what links those are and why they are relevant to us? Also, I spot a lot of https links in your list which definitely DO NOT work on any stock System 7 Mac. The idea of this thread is to showcase pages with a humble design that still render fine on either Netscape 4 / iCab 2.9 / Opera ...

http://subclub.org - The Sub Club website. A site all about subminiature 16mm and 110 cameras and film, used in many spycams by James Bond and his (real world) colleagues! While not directly Macintosh related, I'm sure there's an overlap in these hobbies

Another great wiby.org find: The Canadian Nuclear FAQ by Dr. Jeremy Whitlock. http://www.nuclearfaq.ca/index.html#top While focussing on Canada and its reactors, he covers a lot of basics about nuclear fission & else. That's the typical kind of page we used to run into and learn a thing or t wo before the days of Google, Social Media & else. ’

I know this may sound weird but thanks to Wiby.org I accidently ran into this site on Scientific Glassblowing and spent the better half of the evening browsing the page: http://www.ilpi.com/glassblowing/ It was an interesting read about a craftmanship I did know little about. Custom made stuff for e.g. laboratories. Not that I plan on using my newly-acquired knowledge at any time soon, but I definitely appreciate it more now.

Yeah, that looks like greystash's work. I salute him for that. Seems like he's building a macos9today.com - hope he has the time and energy to keep building it, something like that has been missing :-)
