Found through wiby? Wanted to add the notboring.com one but saw it was already indexed.

Yeah, Wiby sure is king of WWW. Google is just a commercial hell. Can't find anything of relevance there nowadays.

There's like tons and tons of WAD files for Doom. Unfortunately, there's only 5% of them really good and worth anybody's time I feel. The rest is just shovelware. It's very hard sifting through the wades of Doom mods ... :-)

That said, this link is a https one that requires a modern browser - we're in the topic "Websites that work with System 7 browsers". ;-)

Here's a site with good WADs that IS compatible with System 7 browsers:

Damn, I didn't think of that. Just used Wiby using Classilla on my TiBook and everything just works, even TLS, so I didn't reflect over the URL. Sorry :P

http://www.mac.org/ - Old Mac shareware site. Last updated in 2000 and still online in this year of our Lord 2023! How's that for longevity?

Has some downloads of 68K and PPC shareware for your delectation.

Deleted se30forever.com from our list in the first post. The page seems - unfortunately - gone and the domain grabbed by some evil domain grabber ... (rather not visit it)

That page was run by joshc on 68kmla.org, and he let the domain lapse as he's planning on redoing his machut site and integrating the se30 contents onto it in some way, at some point.

Just a real shame that that can't happen safely anymore without some con artist taking the domain after :(

Good info, thanks! Glad to hear the content isn't lost, as it was an awesome source on the SE/30.

Good news, SE/30 Forever is back. Now to be reached over at MacHut.net which is very nice source on System 6 & 7 including downloads for important software and updates. What sets it apart is a huuuge section on manuals for hardware and peripherals that I haven't seen somewhere else this nicely assembled. I also like the simple look with the high density of information. It's a nice contrast to modern pages that bombard you with pictures and videos but mostly fluffy content.

Thanks for the kind words about Mac Hut and SE/30 Forever. The goal is certainly to keep things as simple as possible, really just to provide people with the information and files they need.

I am posting semi-regular updates about Mac Hut here: https://68kmla.org/bb/index.php?threads/mac-hut-is-back.16637/post-503638
