http://myoldmac.net is also a good one, and it shows different text when you view it on an old mac running system 7! works fine on icab, no layout issues |

http://ericexperiment.com/ hasn't been mentioned he. It's essentially a website / blog run by Eric on tech stuff. He's coming from the Windows world, but it's nonetheless interesting stuff and renders fine in old browsers.

http://mapageweb.umontreal.ca/cousined/lego/ Another nice home-made website that puts its focus on building things with Lego Technic. It's of a kind that isn't built anymore, unfortunately. If we wouldn't be renovating hour home right now, I'd probably get my old Lego Technic out and play around with it now

Well the page(s) do have excellent information density which is always appreciated. But it really is not a very nice looking or inviting website. I imagine if you like and are interested in Legos it is a good site, but I do not think it would be a site that would attract new people to Legos. When people say, "They do not make websites like they use to." My response is generally "Oh, thank god." The fact that the powers that be on this site find that site appealing fills me with trepidation when they talk of re-modeling this web site.

I agree the web design isn't any special, but it's the info density that makes it shine. Modern pages will make you suffer with full-width images and tons of JavaScript but shallow content - it makes for a nice change. And that's what I was commenting about - info-dense websites about a topic by an author just interested in sharing a hobby / passion. Not being out to make a buck. If he'd do it today, he'd probably be video no. 67th on YouTube's search result page for "Lego Technic ideas".

This little gem is still around and renders fine in Netscape and other old browsers. The REALbasic section is pure gold for me and has helped me through a lot of problems over the years ![]() http://computer-programming-forum.com/
