The drivers speseficaly say the C and D both work, due to being almost the same card. i ahve the driver installed. And it seems to not work on my Armada E500 when i try to connect it to the web (it uses 98se with the Me updated files) |

I am using a Etherlink III (3c589c) using the drivers provided at http://www.floodgap.com/retrotech/mac/enet3c589/ and all i get is alternative ethernet in my TCP/IP window. It does not seem to work at all and i do not kow what i am doing wrong |

It was a school computer, nothing sensitive on it. It even has the original backup disk creator (about 20+ floppys worth of data that will be rendered moot when i get a copy of 7.6 off of ebay in a day or two) Fresh install of 7.6 then upgrade that to 7.6.1 and all will be well. |

http://www.xlr8yourmac.com/libmoto.html According to this, it is just a worthless extension that has no real performance improvement and the 60% better FPU is artificaly improved. Sounds like the old Rage Pro Turbo for windows where the driver was just re-written to improve benchmark scores without any real performance boost |

Just came today, and i have everything upgraded except for quicktime due to the 16mb of ram the system has for now. it is a 1400c/166 with a 2gb hard drive 12x CD and 16mb of ram. 7.6.1 (Original Install of it) loaded onto the hard drive. I hope to win the copy of 7.6 off of ebay that i have bid on so i can do a clean install of 7.6.1 so i do not have to worry about bad sectors. The system appers to have come from a teacher due to various teacher documents being left all over the place. |

I googled the phrase, and i came out with this. "This is a special upgrade offer for System 7.5 customers package. It includes System 7.5 to 7.5.5 and full version of System 7.6, and Apple Internet Connection Kit." Score! |

Also, on some PowerBook and Powermac Models, 7.5.5 is not a option and you are stuck with 7.5.3 as your only 7.5 Version (Powerbook 1400 is a prime example of this). |

Can a 1400/166 that came with 7.6.1 use plain 7.6, i found a ebay auciton for a copy of plain old 7.6 new in box, and i ma curious as to if it would work with my 1400c/166. Anybody try this? |

cr2032, have you considered a 5500/6500 motherboard upgrade, i beleive you can swap in the new board no problem and get a faster 603ev with ATi Rage graphics built in. Also if i remember correctly from my 6500, the CSII is a Win-Modem type slot. I would be careful with any card that goes in it if you worry about performacne. |

I once bought a GameGear from a canadian seller, and i did not realize it would take until july (this was bought in early june 2006) for it to get to me. My state for some reason has odd import rules that require extra processing for foregin packages. My advice is avoid canadian sellers unless absolutely nesscary. |
