Can a 1400/166 that came with 7.6.1 use plain 7.6, i found a ebay auciton for a copy of plain old 7.6 new in box, and i ma curious as to if it would work with my 1400c/166. Anybody try this? |

The 1400 shipped with 7.5.x so 7.6 should boot and install with little problem. You can then get the update and move to 7.6.1. bill

My 1400 came with 7.6 back when I spent a lot of money on my first laptop. So shouldn't be any troubles. Just download the update and watch it fly!
