MacTech still has an old version of their site up and running and it's not hitten behind a TLS wall either!

Lots of good articles in there, if you search for a bit.

The great RealBasic/Xojo dev magazine xDev seems to still be alive and kicking, even using the same website still and not hiding behind an encryption wall!

Go read some good RealBasic articles over at http://xdevmag.com/ :)

We forgot to add this link to our list of websites the work with System 7 browsers ;) synack.net/~bbraun

I'm really excited about some of the truly amazing cool Mac networking bits and bytes Rob Braun collected, programmed and shared on his page! 68040 first referenced it here two Christmase Eves ago, and I also stumbled across an earlier reference to it over at 68kMLA (modern link)

Very nice additions, worth a visit. Thanks for sharing! :)

Unfortunately, on James Walker's page IA doesn't seem to have his old shareware utilities saved. Tried two (takes awfully long here...) but came up empty. Which is sad, I don't think they're on the Mac Garden yet.

Oh no :o which ones? I want to say that they were all dispersed around the net back in the day (I know I never visited his website to get Print2PDF, one of, if not the, flagship printer driver software James developed)

Here's a real old-school site (the IA cache at least for older systems) of old software sales still online! 8)

That oldsoftware.com site seems to be a still alive in 2025 http web site.

It really is an old type web site - the animated gif's started hurting my eyes after about a minute ;)

Looking at the raw HTML I could see why it looked so retro

<META NAME="GENERATOR" CONTENT="Adobe PageMill 3.0 Win">

Quite amazing. Thanks for the link, it's a genuine "period piece".
