Imperialism

1 to 8 players. ??? PowerMac Only.
SSI (Strategic Simulations, Inc.)

Experience the vast technological advances spanning the entire Industrial Revolution.

Several paths to conquest include: diplomatic, economic, and military - or whatever combinations the player can devise.

Diplomacy: Although it might be possible to conquer the entire world, your Empire would be unbeatable long before the last enemy province fell. At a point when the world recognizes that one Great Power has attained a dominant position, the winner is acclaimed. This is determined by a world-wide Council of Governors.

Economy: A dynamic economic model allows for market manipulation of over a dozen commodities such as clothing, armaments, paper, furniture, and numerous natural resources. We have taken extreme care to reduce the "micro-management" aspects that you might expect to see in more "civilized" games of this nature.

Military: You have the ability to commision dozens of military and civilian unit types, including light infantry, artillery, naval frigates, merchant ships, prospectors, and engineers. Don't take this for "just a wargame" because there are military units, because indiscriminate warfare can "cost you the world" in this strategy title.

Indy Car Racing II 1.0.1

1 or 2 players. AppleTalk, serial/modem.
Crossplatform!
PowerMac Only!
CD-ROM only.
Papyrus (recently acquired by Sierra Online)

Experience true-to-life IndyCar handling characteristics, 15 real tracks from the IndyCar circuit, and a behind-the-wheel driving experience so heart-poundingly authentic, you'll be tempted to buckle up.

Texture-mapped scenery gives you an astoundingly realistic picture. High-resolution graphics put you right behind the wheel! As you hurtle around the track at the wheel of your IndyCar, your view encompasses billboards, cars, drivers, and racing teams - all precisely replicated after the 1995 racing season.

Rev your engine and the "tach strip" surges across the instrument panel. The digital readout climbs. Pay attention to your fuel gauge - do you need to pit for fuel or can you finish with what you've got? Learn to adjust turbocharger, brake bias, and anti-roll bars as you go. IndyCar Racing II's garage enables you to make adjustments in fuel load, tires, wings, suspension, gearbox, and much more.

YOU CHOOSE THE TRACK! Select from 15 actual tracks from the IndyCar racing circuit. From super-speed ovals like Michigan to the tight corners and tricky surfaces of street tracks like Long Beach.
