Battle for the Planets is a real-time action space game which can be played over a LAN or the internet. It features 3D rendered, 256 color graphics and digitized sound. The object of the game is to build up your ship's strength by picking up weapons and objects at your bases and then destroy your opponent.

If you have a PowerMac, make sure you "download v1.0" which uses NetSprockets. If you have a 680x0 machine, "download v0.9" which utilizes an alternative networking mechanism. The demo has a time limit.

Bolo is a networked graphical real-time multi-player tank battle game. It has elements of arcade-style shoot-em-up action, but for the serious players who play 12 hour games with 16 players working in teams in different networked computer clusters around an office or university campus, it becomes more of a strategy game. You have to play it to understand.

For those of you who are not familiar with Bolo; Bolo has a huge cult following, aided by the fact that you can play in real-time over the internet with people all over the world! The game can also be played solo against several computer AI's. It's built-in tutorial is the best I've seen.
