I have other working cards but no drivers from them on System 7.

Christopher.

PS. if anyone has a spare card they want to donate or sell that works with
System 7 let me know.

I have a card, i never got the pcmcia card to work either before the laptop died but i was a super novice then. You’re uk right. I can dig out the weekend and pop it in the post if you like. I’m not using it and unlikely to attempt to fix my 1400 it has to many problems to fix

If you're okay using WiFi with your Powerbook and have a compatible router, eBay (U.S.) has the ORINOCO WaveLAN Gold PCMCIA card that works with System 7.5 and up, has encryption and is going for $15 with free (U.S.) shipping (modern browser needed):

$15 card w/free shipping - https://www.ebay.com/itm/175643795265

WiFi driver - http://system7today.com/data/uploads/downloads/wavelan6.hqx

If you're not in the U.S. hopefully the shipping's not too ridiculous :(

I’ve stuck with the Global Village Powerport Platinum Pro cards myself.  Got my hands on one for both of my working PowerBooks years ago.  With the right software, they just work.  They are harder to find these days though, especially the dongles.
