Very sorry to hear about your IIci, you speak of it so fondly. Hopefully it is an easy fix and it is back to life very soon. I am not much of a productive person anymore, sticking strictly with the consumption end of things. I am looking forward to see what stacks get created for HyperCard. I did get HyperCard all installed in it glorious fullness and have been playing with older stacks. Good luck with your IIci and your stack project. Being an old Mac user I would assume you have your work backed up? |

Afraid the challenge period has coincided with a difficult period here for me and my family. I've tried to dig into Hypercard a few times, but my focus has been elsewhere. I am working on a stack though and I hope to be able to give it more attention soon... apologies to all, and look forward to seeing what the rest of you have done.

Guys, seriously...should we just extend the challenge for a month until November 20th? That would give everyone the chance to get their stuff sorted out and then jump into it with enthusiasm again? So instead of Oct. 20th, it'll be November 20th? That should give us enough time, should it?

Done! It's extended to November 20th then! That gives MTT, cballero, snes, wove, 68040 and others enough time to join in ;-) Daxeria over at the Macintosh Garden wrote me regarding my question about System 7 sounds here and suggested the compilation A Zillion Sounds on the Mac garden. Just in case some of you are also looking for sound resources. Thanks, Dax! (now I need to look through 68040's uploads ... thank you too!)

Actually, I've already collected and sorted a library of E-Books in HyperCard format. Not sure if that counts but it would be my entry for the challenge.

Before I forget it, when I sucked the IA dry for HC stacks I've encountered several HyperCard launchers like this one here, that can be used to catalog and start an almost indefinte number of XCMD stacks. This way you can just drop your stack somewhere on disk and then use your fav launcher (thus far I found at least another three of them) tu run it at your leisure. Beats fiddling around with a dozens or hundreds of folders I think.

Dang, only 3 more days to go in the challenge, with @knezzen, @mac-cellar and others (?) all preparing their awesome projects in secrecy while I suck at this challenge given my project is just at 40% or something. I was too ambitious I guess! And with the hiccups the IIci unexpectedly gave me, it threw me off course ... I hope you guys have something to show for and saving the honor of our forum
