Hi, I'm from New Zealand, work in high schools in IT support. I'm interested in the old stuff and want to keep it going for interests sake. Have 2x lc3 without cd-roms, 1x beige g3 and an old beige g3 server tower... I'll need help getting some stuff going so I'll be posting... Cheers to all... |

Quote from: "dpaanlka" Welcome to System 7 Today! I wish we could help you with this, but in fact every Mac that shipped from Apple with a G3 processor is not compatible with Mac OS 7! I'm so sorry... Well then, no sweat. I have an LC3 as well. I'll play with that for now. |

Operating System / beige g3 300 won't boot from 7.6.1 cd

I've had this old box lying around and stumbled on this site. I'd like to run os7 on it, if poss. it has 320mb ram now and the old drive I took out was running osx10.2 I put an old 10 gb hd in it and put in os761 cd but get an error that this cd is not for this computer. It is a generic cd and still boots other older macs. I'm stuck...what do I need to do to sort this? or what info do I need to post for help? tia |
