Hello! It's been a while, and many things have happened. First off, after going through two logic boards and processors for my 9600, I decided to throw in the towel and donate it. So I did. I now have the following System 7 Ready devices: *Powerbook 1400cs (400Mhz G3) *Powerbook 2400 (240Mhz G3 [Cache broken]) *Performa 6116CD (400Mhz G3 Sonnet) *Centris 660AV (working on getting it clock-chipped to 33Mhz) I'm also beginning to get back INTO Apple IIgs hardware again. Around eight years ago, I used to work on (daily) making programs in Apple Basic in my free time after school in my grade school. I ended up getting this computer, and one day I walked into my parents house, and it was gone. I was saddened but now would like to get an Apple IIgs again. Much has changed in the Apple IIgs world. There are now ethernet cards available, TCP/IP stacks available with DHCP support, and ability to have hard drives (via CF drives or through 2.5 or 3.5 inch drives) in the system. I also decided to get some real nice PCs going too: *Added a MythTV computer /Server, kinda like an open-source TiVo system. Very nice system with a 320GB drive just for movies. *Also added a FX-60 system (dual core 2.6Ghz ) with 1GB ram and a GeForce 8600GTS and a 20 inch widescreen monitor. |

Quote from: "bd1308" I'm also beginning to get back INTO Apple IIgs hardware again. How traumatic! Anyway, there seem to be a lot of Apple IIgs's on eBay right now. I haven't checked on the status of the ether card lately, but I have the CF card installed in my Apple IIGS, and man, that thing works great. The only problem I have is, I don't have room for all my Mac & Apple treasures (or, "Mac crap" as my wife "fondly" refers to it. If only my house had a basement...). Anyway, sorry about the 9600, as well. It looks like you have plenty of other fine Macs, but those PCI towers are still great computers (and hard to find now on eBay).
