Hi guys,

I have a 540c which *might* have the ppc upgrade installed. Is there any way to check if it is?

thanks,
Rand

You might try and install an application that is for PPC only to see if it will install. This is a link for downloading Guage Pro a utility from Newer that provides a variety of system information.

Hi Wove,

I don't have the right cables so I can't get anything on these boxes except what I have on CD, they're not connected to the internet or my LAN yet.

I couldn't load Mac OS 8.5 on that box but I think it was because of some checks it does, not because it can't actually run.

Thanks for the link, I'll have a look there.

Cheers,
Rand

If you have Apple System Profiler you can use that.  If it's not in your Apple Menu, hit Command+F and search for it.
