Last week saw the release (and further updates) of a new light-weight modern Telnet client for System 7 - Flynn!

In case you haven't seen this, you may want to check it out. I've took it for a test ride on my IIci last week and the latest version (1.9.4) this morning. The latter now supports colour, a variety of terminal emulation (VT100/VT220/xterm/ANSI-BBS), UTF-8 etc.

I have to say, it's impressive how much better it gets in such a short time frame. Since it'll work fine on System 6 as well, this makes it the prime candidate for use with my IIci as I can use it no matter which OS I have booted into.

Download and more info over at the respective Mac Garden page.

Has anybody else been trying Flynn out?
