I have a Powerbook G3 (Wallstreet) on the back its a 233mhz model no.M4753 yet it has a 400mhz processor in it I have googled around and can't find any 3rd party upgrades that were 400mhz and the the only other 400mhz G3 processor was in the Powerbook G3 Lombard and I was led to believe that these were not interchangeable with the Wallstreet models. anybody got and ideas as to whats in this Wallsteet. Not that I'm complaining its supertfast running OS 9.2.2, it would just be intersting to find out. Christopher. |

Hi, Actually there were upgrade cards, check this : https://youtu.be/IpNp6PzNDwg It's a Sonnet 500Mhz, but I think other companies did some as well, maybe at 400 Mhz. So maybe you the lucky owner of one of these rare cards. Edit : Though I can't find a 400 Mhz card in this list : https://everymac.com/upgrade_cards/by_system/powerbook_g3.html But also remember reading about the occurrence of a Wallstreet system info reporting wrong CPU speed, 400 Mhz. Can't remember what was the problem but if it is the MaC OS build in System Info giving you that 400 Mhz, may be worth trying with something else, like Gauge Pro : https://macintoshgarden.org/apps/gauge-pro

You were right Galgot downloaded Gauge Pro and its reports 266Mhz how wierd is that, Thanks for your help. Christopher.
