Its easier for me to create the FC CD images using SheepShaver but even though I have the CD drive set in the SheepShaver config page in the guest OS OS9 it doesn't seem to see it. What should I do to get it recognized? |

CD images are just that, images. Add them to the SheepShaver GUI before you boot into the guest OS. CD support in SheepShaver is for actual CD media inserted into a physical CD drive on the host Mac/PC.

Alternatively, CD images can also be mounted on the host OS as virtual CD's, so it looks like an actual CD when SheepShaver starts up. CD images can also mount as virtual CD's within the emulated environment by mounting it with Toast or the Virtual CD/DVD Utility (Mac Garden). There can be compatibility issues with any method as to whether an image mounts or not, but generally any of the above can be used.

Hi, what I am trying to do is create physical CDRs and image files in SheepShaver. I have no issues mounting images themselves. If I insert a blank CDR Sheepshaver shows a "Audio CD" link which has one audio track in it. How do I work around this? I've found to create image files in toast deluxe, but how do I burn those in SheepShaver or Windows? --- Update: I copied the image to my windows computer, renamed it to .iso instead of .toast and was able to burn it to CDR. Giving it a test now! --- Update 2: Yes that did the trick! Runs great on my SE/30...

Yes, copying the image renamed as .iso to the host PC and burning from there, is the way go. Good one, MarisaG.
