I have a realtek 8139 based network card installed in my old mac.  I gather that I should see an ethernet option in the appletalk control panel.  I placed the realtek driver file in the system extensions, yet all I have in appletalk is printer and modem options.  Should that driver be placed elsewhere?  If so where?  If that is the right spot, where do I start with troubleshooting?

You shoulld use a 8139D or 8139C card. I have personally used this card and extension without any trouble on my starmax 4000.

Does the TCP/IP panel see the card?
