Every so often I run into stuff I had totally forgotten about. Like a copy of Rick VanDerveer's excellent site Networkable Mac Games that I had saved locally from an old Mac Magazine CD. (you remember, to read stuff "calmly" without being online and ramping up astronomical bills in the background? )Anyway, Rick put together what was probably the first compendium on Macintosh network games. My version is from mid '98 and I've uploaded it to the S7T server for all of you to enjoy the Nostalgia too! It can be reached at: http://system7today.com/netgames/ All the pics are preserved but I don't have the FTP downloads though but one might be able to find them on the Mac Garden I assume. Loved the accounts of 80's Macintosh network gaming parties like the following. Those were the days ... ;-) Quote As you note, the 'original' Net Mac game was Maze Wars (Maze Warz?) that was developed at Apple during AppleTalk development. But, as Obi Wan said, 'there is another...' Anyway, hope you'll enjoy the trip down in memory lane as much as I do

)
I know they were running this stuff inside Apple before, and that there were some limited 'net' games on mainframes before, but this was a 'hit and run' 'plug and play' net game party in '85. We have done this type of party many times since, but I would think that this one was the first.
