Hello Folks,

did anyone get that Macgarden E-Mail tunnel to work and if yes what were your settings?

I couldn't get it working for gmail or my hostway account.

I also tried Linux's "stunnel" but that never finishes the "secure login" when sending SMTP mail.

I am using Outlook Express v4.0.1 for 68k.

Hey,

yes, using it regularly. Working fine!

First question: Did you check to set the ports accordingly?

Hostway isn't supported yet - shoot Knezzen a message and he can surely get this going.

Gmail is now unsupported. I will update the page to reflect this. Google axed "legacy" (as in IMAP, POP, SMTP) support a few months ago. Not sure we will be able to sort this one out :(

If anyone cares about it, I think AOL may still accept opening free AOL email accounts and their email should still have normal POP and IMAP configurable addresses :)

And Gmail can auto-check mail from POP and IMAP accounts like AOL so it could act as a go-between as well ;)
