I am trying to host my own website and yet when i clicked the main Net Prexenz icon, it crashes–

No error #? Did you check the memory settings? Sometimes the prefs file gets corrupted and you can test that by renaming it before you start the program (better than outright deleting it).

Do you have an error msg ?
if you open the NetPresenz Setup application (not the NetPresenz server application itself) there is "summary" button which gives infos on what is running or not.
If it crashes , you can also try give NetPresenz server app more memory in the info panel.

it has no error msg btw and yes it crashes directly

Try open the NetPresenz Setup application (not NetPresenz which is the server itself) and click the "Summary" button, that will tell you exactly what is running.
Also, in NetPresenz Setup , menu -> File -> Background Mode... is a setting that runs the server in the background as the name implies. So if you set that and open NetPresenz to run the server, you'll see nothing. It will be running in the background.
maybe it's the case here.
