I think this card has 2M of ram on the card itself--just to clarify this is the old AV card from what appears to be NOT a stock card, although I dont own a 6100 AV and therfore havent seen a stock card.

I just need more memory in the form of something like a piggyback upgrade or something (it has a connector on the card)

HPV and AV are two different things.

The AV card has AV inputs (obviously), but actually has much slower video acceleration than the HPV card.

Excuse my ignorance...

I was just told that by the seller. My apologies.

It is indeed a AV card.

It has a black connector interface for something...I need more ram for this thing...or just live with 256 colors....

Black connector interface?

It isn't an Apple AV card then.

256 colors?  Does dropping the resolution give you more color options?  If so, at what resolution does Thousands appear?
