So... what do you all think of this new design?  We now have search!

Very simple, and fast loading. Makes it easy to see which forums have new topics since your last visit. The search rocks. :)

The only real problems I have with it are the following.

1-the fonts are a bit to small

2-there are no obvious breaks between posts.

3-the little icons that are used for new post, old post, could be a little clearer. After a little while who would notice.

What I like about it..

1-looks official

2-different than most forums.

I like the fact that the fonts are smaller.  I don't know what I could do to make each post more discernable.  I thought it was pretty good to begin with.  Open to more ideas though.

The font issue was a browser issue, had a style sheet stuck where it wasn't warranted. So they are fine, it's nice to have more than one browser to play with. :D

This design is really super nice.

As much as I like it, though, when the new site rolls out I'm going to try to create a fully custom design that blends right in with the rest of the main site...

Mighty Dan, will the avatar picture things be returning? I miss my little portrait.

The replacement for the current forum theme is well under way.  It is much simpler in nature, and likely will not allow for avatars (nor signatures)...

Possibly, but it sure does look great now that it fully follows the design of the site.

Basing my decisions on Apple's current forum, which also does not allow Avatars and signatures... doesn't seem like that would have been a very Apple thing to do in the first place.

True. I know you are going to have the old Apple design, but in the end will it be Apple's forum or your own? I'm sure Apple wouldn't mind avatars and signatures. ;) Actually, the Apple.com forums have a sort of signature.
