This is a legendary true story of a true hacker named Mel, who worked for Royal McBee computer company, during the heyday of the Cold War. I love computer stories from back then, and this is my favorite one of all. Fans of this story were able to track him down and found a black and white photograph of Mel at Royal McBee (modern browser needed).
