So I installed Goliath and Goliath 68k on my SheepShaver Mac OS 8.1 and Basilisk II installs then was able to copy files from an available online webdav server from Basilisk II to SheepShaver and vice versa! Previously I was accessing local webdav from an iOS device until I found the test webdav online! How Lauland single-handedly just took that bull by the horns and made it work on 68k is just..wow! and if that wasn't enough, he also made it Mac OS 7.6-friendly, fully tested out, which by extension almost means it should also work on Mac OS 7.5.x! ![]() Lauland my friend, you are truly unmatched!

A WebDav server can be setup on the Raspberry Pi and used a very nice home server for the MacOS. I found NextCloud to be better in a mixed OS environment, but for use with the MacOS 7 it is very handy. WebDav was the initial protocol for dotMac that appeared in OS 9 where I started my "cloud" adventure. There were several tutorials online with instruction for using dotMac services with your own local webdav server. The "cloud" has gotten a bad reputation and it keeps getting worse, but when cloud service can be setup locally they are an exceptional nice way to simply and easily share information among the computers on the local network.

Oh wow! once I return from my next trip, I'll look at locating and configuring one of my old Pis so I can run a WebDav server!Quote from: wove WebDav was the initial protocol for dotMac that appeared in OS 9 where I started my "cloud" adventure..there were several tutorials online with instruction for using dotMac services with your own local webdav server. When you say dotMac services, outside of having an iDisk-like feature, what else could I replicate? Unfortunately, I didn't come across any tutorials, but then I just searched YouTube and Google search with a dash of AI, so please lead the way my friend — I definitely want to learn those mad, cool tricks!
