Networking falls into both hardware and software, and is its own thing, and specific enough I wanted to ask what you guys think about making a separate section for it. Some posts could fit into either hardware or software, but in networking, it would fit perfectly. What are your thoughts? |

It might open the door for more and more sections. Often when discussing networking, we talk of hardware or software, e.g. MacTCP for software, or a network adapter for hardware. Same goes for any other peripheral and many other kinds of software types. Nothing against it, but I like the simplicity of S7T as it currently is.

Thanks for your input, ShinobiKenobi, but I think it fits quite well into the "Operating System" category like the info text for that category is defined right now. Quote Discussion covering System 7 itself, including system extensions, control panels, and configuring. Since networking in System 7 is handling system extensions, control panels and configuring the thing. And networking is pretty much a OS thing, I would say
