I've asked some folks on here before who swear that OS 7.6 has date compatibility as is, however, I'm running 7.6 on my PB3400 and it doesn't allow dates past 2019. IIRC I need to download the 7.6.1 update because it doesn't have this problem, but I can't connect due to the system time being incorrect. Any suggestions? Thanks!

It's been mentioned here before. There's a patch to enable the correct date in classic Mac systems, for dates 2020 and beyond (up to at least 2040).

Via the Ultimate Update list for PPC Macs, click the 2020 patch link.

That takes you to the download page for the patch for "Vintage Mac 2020 fixes", the patch you'll need is "2020Patch 1.1", found in the paragraph for System 7.1 to Mac OS 8.6. You have a choice of either a StuffIt ".sit" or a MacBinary ".bin" download. Choose one which suits you the best.

*Update*
In case anyone should need it, either here or on another forum, a user posted information about an app called Burn for modern MacOS that allows you to burn optical media in OS7-compatible HFS format (and several others as well). I was able to burn the patch to a disc and install it onto my PB3400.
