Hi all,
Where could I find reference material for the AppleScript that comes with Mac system 7.6.1?
Looked on Google but right now rosettacode has been my best help.

Thanks!

Most Applescript reference material will be found in archived versions of Apple's Developer Documentation. Here is the command reference. Here are a couple examples of the types of Applescript reference material.

I also seem to remember talk about adding a few Mac reference and programming materials or links to materials to the S7T website, but if we have anything yet, it may still be an unlisted (or even incomplete) page at this time, so stay tuned for those (potential) resources here in the future ;)

The reference material for this is now at the Mac Garden as PDFs.

Mainly they're the user manuals for AppleScript v1.1, which although earlier than what came with Mac OS 7.6.1 (AppleScript v1.1.1) - a point 1 difference, plus the later version 1.3.7 & 2.0 Language Guides which are also backwards compatible to version 1.1, so you don't miss a thing ;)

The AppleScript version 1.1 manuals, come from when AppleScript was a commercial product, before it was bundled in with System 7.5 and on. I purchased the boxed set of this, I found it in a Sydney Apple Store's bargain bin, back in the pre OS X good old days, for Aus$20. Printed manuals, remember those? ;)

I imaged the 1.1 disks and added them here at the MG.

Even if you use a later version of AppleScript in System 7.x, it's worth getting these disks as they contain loads of example scripts and applications that you don't get with the bundled AppleScript versions that came later.

[Edit] actually, the AppleScript Editor distributed with System 7.6.1 is version 1.1.1, but the installed AppleScript Extension is still at v1.1, so maybe the 1.1 manuals are perfect as is.
