That little Grey Tab that I'm so accustomed to in OS 9 was apprently introduced in System 7.5

The question is, Having a Macintosh LC 520 (68030 @25 MHZ) Running 7.6.1, How do I Get a control stip on said computer, if it's possible?

Or is it only available for PowerMacintoshes running OS 7?

The Control Strip was first released as an extra for PowerBooks and was not included with desktop Macs. My best recollection is that it came out about the time of System 7.1 and around the time of Mac OS 8 that it started being universally installed.

It should be included in Apple's System 7.5 and 7.6 installer, although you might find it as part of the optional install packages. I do not believe that any extension is required as part of the Control Strip, so you can most likely install it by dragging a copy of the Control Strip Control Panel to your System folder, where it should be placed automatically into the Control Panel folder.
