I just won a PowerBook G3 Wallstreet off of eBay and overall it seemed decent except for the fact that the hard drive is only 2gb. I have a spare Toshiba 40gb hard drive that doesn't see much use and I was wondering if there would be a way for me to move the Mac OS installation from that 2gb hard drive to my 40gb hard drive without having any other Macintosh computers involved as the only other working Macintosh I own is an LC 575 w/ OS 8.1. |

No, as you will have to format that Toshiba hard drive to begin with, as no Macintosh will boot of a PC formatted drive. You will have to put that drive into your PowerBook, boot off a Mac OS install CD, and format the drive. Once your to that point, you might as well just install a clean copy of Mac OS. EDIT: Moved to Off-Topic, as this thread does not pertain to Mac OS 7.
