I've found a Powerbook 1400c. They're asking $65 for it. Seems to me like that might be a bit steep.

It only has 16MB RAM, so it seems to me I'd have to upgrade that to do much useful with it. Thanks for any input.

For that price you should expect to have one with the 166mhz cpu, the c screen, at least 48MB of RAM, a cd drive and an AC power supply but a dead battery.

A 1400 is quite common in Ebay, so wait for a better deal and check the s&h beforehand to avoid an unpleasant surprise.

Thanks for the reply. The machine is local so there wouldn't be any shipping, but I thought the minimal RAM was a big minus.

That's way too much, you can get an old g3 powerbook for only $25-30 more.
