I've found a Powerbook 1400c. They're asking $65 for it. Seems to me like that might be a bit steep. It only has 16MB RAM, so it seems to me I'd have to upgrade that to do much useful with it. Thanks for any input. |

For that price you should expect to have one with the 166mhz cpu, the c screen, at least 48MB of RAM, a cd drive and an AC power supply but a dead battery. A 1400 is quite common in Ebay, so wait for a better deal and check the s&h beforehand to avoid an unpleasant surprise.

Thanks for the reply. The machine is local so there wouldn't be any shipping, but I thought the minimal RAM was a big minus.

That's way too much, you can get an old g3 powerbook for only $25-30 more.
