so i had some video related issues with my 1990 genesis model 1 so i took it to someone and they recapped it for 30 dollars and it works fine again (made it to metropolis zone in Sonic 2 but couldnt beat eggman at act 3) this goes to prove that consoles too not just computers need to be recapped |

No doubt! I've got a couple old CDROM drives that have their caps going out. Off subject a bit: I have "Kindle Unlimited" and noticed I can get free magazine subscriptions...not terribly exciting, but when browsing through was a little shocked they had one of my absolutely favorites: "Retro Gamer" from England, a little hard to find in paper form, so quite nice to have on the Kindle. https://www.gamesradar.com/retrogamer/ The Oct 2024 issue has an article about a guy who does quite clever, and very advanced, SNES hardware mods. Anyway, was reading it and thought of you. Give it a look if you don't already know about it. You can find a few of older issues in PDF on archive.org: https://archive.org/search?query=%22retrogamer%22&and%5B%5D=mediatype%3A%22texts%22 (Not all in English, but still may be fun, even if you don't habla Español) "How the Mega Drive was born" (Sega Genesis), en Español: https://archive.org/details/REVISTASGOLD24K2518Retrogamer/page/n29/mode/2up Could probably find more "out there" if you searched.
