I don't know if some of you can relate, but sometimes one has this plan of trying something out, be it a game or a new hobby, but for whatever reason (usually: time) you don't get around trying it - for years! I missed the whole SSI role-playing games when they initially came out for the Mac. Only later learned about them, when they had already earned a cult status among RPG fans. For those of you who don't know, I'm talking about the games: http://macintoshgarden.org/games/secret-of-the-silver-blades http://macintoshgarden.org/games/curse-of-the-azure-bonds http://macintoshgarden.org/games/the-dark-queen-of-krynn http://macintoshgarden.org/games/pool-of-radiance http://macintoshgarden.org/games/pools-of-darkness These are Role-Playing games (RPG) set in the Dragonlance world. They're NOT easy go-to stuff, they require you to really dive in deep into this world. They should work very nicely on any 68k Macintosh down to a Mac Plus. But like I said, I never dared investing the time. I may finally sit down, print the manuals and start digging deeply into it when autumn comes around. Anyone of you ever played them? What's your opinion on them? |
