just got a quadra 700 in a lot of mac stuff, this this rocks has a 25mhz 68040 and somesort of daystar level 2 cache card, it has 68 megs of ram and lots o vid ram a whole 2megs i think iam running 832x624 at millions of colours it also has a 1 gig connor scsi drive i have the eithernet adapter and iam typing this from the quadra right now i put os8 on it and run icab so far its slugish but cool |

Very nice system. Congratulations on your find. Have fun with the machine. It will probably run faster if you take it back to System 7.x. and if you follow the install and software help on the site you will have no worries make use of all there is on the web. bill

yeah i just put 7.6.1 runs a little better still very slugish on the internet

I remembered my Quadra 950 with OS761 and icab299 was running bit slow. So, I changed to Netscape 3.0.4 and works faster. S7T mentioned that as well : http://main.system7today.com/otherbrowsers.html have you tried Netscape ?

Wish I had one.  If I had one, I'd probably use it with Appleworks, Claris Organizer, Fast Track Scheduler, WordPerfect, Norton Utilities, and FaxSTF... Among others. I definitely wouldn't use such a machine on the interweb.
