I know this is an old thread, but I have to agree with the original post. I've been restoring and upgrading a SE/30 and iMac g3 with the intent of doing some writing on them. Its kinda shocking to go from modern screens/ppi back to non-antialiasing. There are some upsides thought, the little 9" b&w screen on the SE/30 is so tack sharp and I do love craking out some pages on it. The iMac is another story. ATM Deluxe gives the option of smoothing screen fonts which makes a very nice night and day difference. |

I remember using a tool called GoMac back in the day. Of course it was sacrilage because it added a windows 95 like task bar to the bottom. |

I've been streaming from somafm.com since the late 90s. If you like electronic mustic, they still have streams for non-ssl traffic 128k and 256k mp3 and aac. Listening to them now on imac g3 with os9 and itunes 2. |

I'd like to do some writing on my SE/30 or iMac G3. I think the best WP I've found that I like is MS Word 5.1. What I would really like to find however, is a word processor that has a distraction free text mode, that is..it would work in true fullscreen (no windows or GUI widgets). I don't think there was ever one developed for MacOS 7/8/9, but thought I would post here to see if anyone knows of one. Thanks, Bart |

I'm glad I stumbled across this. Thank you for posting. I have always had this dream of being able to roll up a rasppi with something that wouild allow TLS/SSL and also act as sort of web prox and also a Mail relay that I could use connect to modern email providers like GMail and allow my vintage machines to access. |
