I run into  two new-to-me wordprocessors from Japan in LEM.

The iText works in OS's 7.1-10.4 and with 68k (& Windows 95 and up too). It supports RTF. There are both free and pro versions available.

The LightWayText works with the same OS's, but is shareware. If I understood it right, this is the more feature rich of the two apps. It also have french and italian versions as the iText have an english one only. (Both have japanese too, of course).

The authors site must be the ugliest I have ever saw, but the apps seem to work nicely. I have only downloaded and gave a quick testdrive of the two.

If you are familiar with them already, or have time to give them a real test, please post your experiencies here.

Hmm I'm not really sure I'm convinced this is worthy software.  I'll have to try it out more extensively when I have time.

That really is an awful web site, though.

I agree that the site has a very bad layout. It's sort of confusing how there is also iText Pro and iText Express. I've tried out iText, and it is a very good word processor. I've also tried out iText Express. Both are some of the best free word processors for their platform.
