I've seen some of the other posts but i don't know if they're pertinent to my inquiry. I Have a Quadra 605 running 7.5.5 and have seemed to find differing conclusions about the control strip all over the net. somewhere in my systems ReadMe's it mentions the Control Strip feature, but it is nowhere to be found or activated in all my folders. i got the 7.5... downloads off of Apple.com. Am I supposed to have it? how can I get it? |

The Control Strip started out being part of the OS software install on PowerBooks. It became a part of the OS install for all Macs later on. It is a part of 7.6, however I do not know if it is part of 7.5.5 or not. I will be included in the installer no matter what system version you are using. If it is not part of the general install, you may need to do a custom install. If that fails there is a package called "Tome Viewer" which will enable you to find it inside the installer and install it. bill
