I just ordered Soundjam+ (& Conflict Catcher 8 ),from Amazon UK. Both are unopened. SJ GBP 16.38 and CC GBP 18.44, incl. s&h. The sellers only had one of each. ME LUCKY! ME HAPPY! :grin: :grin: :grin: |

Adding the point for my post above here. As the Soundjam+ seems at the moment to be the only option in 7etc to encode mp3s, I am not so much bragging of the size of the fish, but rather showing that it is possible to obtain one. Originally I thought that finding one would be a mission impossible, part XXXXXIIIV, or something. So no despair. From the articles I have found in the net, it was a popular player not that many years ago. And most importantly for us, coming fast to be obsolete for the masses.

right on man I used up my 30 min of mp3 conversion and the constant asking to upgrade. please!! mp + has not arrived in the overnite yet, I may have to mail peter and see how we are comming.

i have conflict catcher 9 will it run on 7.6? if so what value would it have other than a little better extension mngr

Got the + today, it is good. I will also use it in os's 8&9 instead of Audion3. All I know of CC9, is that it should work in classic under X. In CC8's package says: os 7.5-9.x. Maybe you should just try it and see if it works. Me and X aren't very compatible, as I have needed X for two things only. Azureus for downloading a Linux bistro and for its dvd-player. The dvd-player of X plays scratched rental disk better than the one in 9. CC is cool. It helps with other stuff than extensions too. Like with updating the os. The 179 page manual is written by David Pogue. I sure likes his writing style. It is informative, entertaining and fast to read.

how do you get around the 8.1 requirement for sound jam +. the installer indicated it required 8.1 and quit

I will do a test at the end of the week, hopefully it will prove to be helpful for you, but do not expect a miracle. It would be rotten, if you could not run your version of SJ+ in 761.
