Has anybody used this on a 7.6.1 Powerbook or Desktop? I have used it on later systems and it felt faster, but does it work on 7.6.1? http://www.stg.com/employees/sbytnar/projects/rom_accelerator.html (Link To It) It looks like it should work for us.

Installed on both a low end (Duo 2300c) and high end (8600/200) and neither showed any improvement, having tested with three different third party benchmarking apps (MacBench PPC, Speedometer 68k, Let 1K Windows Bloom).  In fact, MacBench and Speedometer both actually showed a decrease in CPU performance.  That's both native PowerPC and emulated 68k.  Just about the only thing this utility did successfully was waste 4mb of memory.

Verdict:  Worthless
