This is a belated G'day from Australia as I've been on the System 7 Today Forums for about a week now. I've taken a bit of a step back in time as I usually spend my Mac Time on my intel mac but have just bought a Powerbook 3400c and am thoroughly enjoying the exerience. I really appreciate finding this website and it has been invaluable in bringing me and this PB up to speed. I have needed to go under the bonnet (hood) of this mac and it's been a great learning experience both under the bonnet and behind the wheel, so to speak. This is my very first laptop and I am truly amazed that it still has so much to offer as long as I don't try to load any eBay pages ... lol. It came with 80mb of RAM installed but the 64mb module has failed, either that or I fried it during one of my under the bonnet forays. I am learning so much about Macs and the various OSes as I go about my research and I'm just lapping it up! BigBang |
