I've found it interesting that wove knows alot aboot macs. I remember somewhere was woves history? But with all the help he, you, have given everyone here I felt a little thread of appreciation is in order. HUZZAH, HUZZAH! So what is the mac history you have?

Wove is the Man!  I have been a mac user since 1990 and the Wove blows me away with his knowledge.  How does he "the wove" remember all that stuff?

I would absolutely love to see his reaction to all this. But he is certainly deserving of the compliments.

Though I'd tease him that he gets a little foggy in the post-1997 era stuff in some areas

Oh and if you were asking what the history of the Mac wove is using right now … give him about three months and there will be a different Mac with a different history. :p

Thank you for your kind words. My first Mac was an SE and I have had many Macs since then.

The ability to get answers depends mostly on knowing where to look. Apple has an excellent and searchable knowledge base. Google is adept at finding everything from the trivial to the arcane and if you are running OS X 10.4 Spotlight will quickly find anything you have stored.

Solutions require expertise and System7Today is here to provide that expertise. There is an excellent and well organized web site created by Dan, that provides excellent guidance on creating an rich System 7 environment with the best available system software and an excellent choice of applications for fun and productivity.

The community forums provide for a rich exchange of ideas and tips to improve our System 7 experience and is continually enriched by the addition of new material. Some is in answer to basic questions, while other material provides insight into the range of chores that can be done with System 7.

It is my hope that everyone feels free to contribute answers and solutions.
