Hello fellow System 7ers. After pushing my poor Duo 2300c to run OS 8.6 daily, I think it is time to take a step or two back and restore some balance to its computing life. Sure, it was cool to run iTunes for OS 8 on a 100 Mhz 603e, but it wasn't something I made much use of. I look forward to sharing my adventures and learning some along the way. Loverofmusic |

Welcome to System7Today, loverofmusic. You will find that the Duo 2300 is a popular computer here. Running OS 7.6.1 on the Duo will help turn it back into the fast capable and reliable work horse it was designed to be. The Software Guide and Help Center have a wealth of tips and software to use for exploring the full potential of the Duo 2300 and these forums are an excellent place to look for answers to odd and nagging problems. We look forward to hearing about your adventures and hope you enjoy your stay. bill

Welcome! I have a Duo 2300c as well, and use it every single day to take notes in class, or go on AIM when I'm playing a full-screen game on my Mac Pro. The Mac Pro and the Duo work perfectly together, sharing files and internet in my dorm room. The Duo feels fastest with 7.6.1, of course. Don't forget to install all the 7.6.1 recommended updates from here once you install 7.6.x onto your system.
