Recently @68kmac and I had a PN conversation about our BlueSCSI WiFi problems (I had partial freezes when trying to e.g. shut down, he had full crashes). He figured out a few settings that would help when running on a 68k System 7 machine and I'd like to share them. Apart from your WiFi settings, I've added the following as suggested by him: Quote cache=0 (deactivates the cache, prevents caching problems) I've tried these settings and them seem to work well with my BlueSCSI v2 WiFi and the IIci in System 7.1. No more freezes when trying to shut down. Of course, updating the firmware is very much recommended as well. There are also a couple of other settings available which might be worth trying out, like whether setting the SCSI identity to something like: Quote vendor=APPLE Might perhaps improve compatibility with certain software that was tailored towards using stock Apple gear. Or Quote reinsert_on_inquiry=true Supposedly helps recognizing toast images more reliable if that's a problem you have with CD emulation. What parameters are you using with your BlueSCSI? Any first-hand experience to share or other suggestions? |
