I'm having a problem with RealBasic 2. I have Pict files that come with Graphic Converter and Photoshop. The file size doesn't matter. In RealBasic, they're usually displayed smaller in Canvas or ImageWell. I have five 200x200 pixel graphics. One of them displays correctly, but all the others are scaled down. Interestingly, Graphic Converter also opens all but one of the images at 75% zoom (which corresponds to the display in RealBasic). If I zoom to 100% and save, it doesn't help. How can I avoid this issue, and what's causing it? |

GraphicConverter opens images in whatever size you choose. Go to Edit: Preferences: Display My choice is Fit to Screen. Sorry, I know nothing about RealBasic.p

Although I'm not sure why it would be doing this to you, many image formats have both a "dpi" and a "resolution" with the idea that by using both of these you get the "size" that it should be displayed. For example, a 300 dpi image that was 600x600 pixels might be displayed on screen as "2 in by 2 in"...whereas if the same 600x600 pixels were 600 dpi, it'd be shown at half that size. Not sure if that is what is going on, but something to check.

68kmac: Can you upload the pictures somewhere so we can have a look? I would say it's a dpi issue, just like lauland mentioned.
