Think I once promised to, or always meant to, introduce myself, but always busy -get caught in the net.

My initial circuit path started in 1979 on my older brother’s Atari VCS (the original Atari 2600), that our dad bought for him in 1977.
From 1980, I then spend the next 8+ years abroad traveling the world, arcade machines being my only option.
After touch down, finally returning home, my dad bought me an A1000 (Amiga 1000) -and my computing took off.
From copyparties, to groups accessing the grid by hacking the utility poles to get free internet 24/7.
When I moved in to live with my dad I switched over to IBM PC’s first on Microsofts MS-DOS, later on Windows as CD-ROM drives got adopted.
Later, I made yet another switch over to Linux. In my region of the world Microsoft had the upper hand, I do not recall ever having noticed Apple back then.
It was only due to my wife getting the iPhone 3GS in 2009, and buying me an iMac 27 inch with Snow Leopard -that I finally got to experience Mac.
But ever since the early 90s I’ve been surfing the World Wide Web.
From Internet Relay Chat network, to Hotline Connect, Napster, LimeWire, Kazaa, etc. etc. to sites.

Some of the more established sites and my favorites from the past -and their rise and shutdowns:
LIOP — (Legacy Interoperability) Link
Y2KP — (Year 2000 Present) Link
LIOP: IsoHuntY2KP
LIOP: The Pirate BayY2KP
LIOP: H33tY2KP
LIOP: 1337X (soz, only https upd & access 2016)— Y2KP
LIOP: KAT (KickassTorrents)Y2KP
Back to less known sources, sites like A.C. Cool Releases, and many, many others -of course I never downloaded anything.
They hit down hard -in every country.
This ZDNet:LIOP  — Y2KP article example and many others in every country filled the web-scape.

The Crashes of My Life.
Ruined all my Kickstarter floppy disks for my Amiga 1000.
Crashed the first IBM Computer my dad gave me -I learned about the BIOS.
Crashed the PC used for searching book titles for customers -on day one, of my first internship.
Linux was as an exception -no crashes.
Crashed my first Mac -learned how to reinstall Mac OS X
Macintosh -no crashes.

Macintosh —first experience was in 2022.
Present —I am here.
Future —people are unable to grasp their Future Self.

Whoa, what a ride, Cashed! 8) But landing a 27-inch iMac as a birthday present? Wow! :) I'm so glad you stuck around to uncover just how amazing the Mac's history has been, with all of its olden software treasures and the evolution of Mac hardware until now — it's never too late to dive into the Mac world my friend! :D

Heh :D So am I!
Wife actually did it twice, of course with installment payments -most expensive Apple's :O I've enjoyed!

Honest to speak System 7 up to Mac OS 9 is the best OS I've ever experienced. Also do luv Mac OS X Tiger & Snow Leopard for music.
Mountain Lion for easy install, boot and running on an external.
High Sierra for everyday 'modern use'.
And lastly Mojave for final 'music touch'.

History on the Macintosh side of things has been well documented ;)
