Some of you may have heard of the Small Web. Essentially websites like System 7 Today who exist as a labor of love with no commerical interest. Much like in the 90's and early 2000s. And you may have heard of Kagi, the payment service that once upon a time had set out to make it easy for Mac shareware authors to earn their fees. Well, looks like Kagi is now invested in the new Small Web movement and is working on their own solutions. It's an interesting concept: https://blog.kagi.com/small-web (iCab 2.9 compatible, but enforces https) The article itself is really worth reading with it's general reflexions on the web and what is perceived as gone wrong since the 90s. There's also good links to other articles on this topic, recommend it! Its the 's" in https that makes this all - a labor of futility. I never understood the use of "securing" plain text sites with publicly available knowledge.
