My 90's experience was that you had 1 trashcan for everything and not the least intention of washing your garbage before disposing of it.  My way of life prohibits me carrying more stuff around than what I can squeeze in a trunk. All else goes to the dumpster. |

A man after my own heart. I remember my Father saying; "We have not used this in three months, why do we still have it?" My Mother in the same vein would say; "I do not like trinkets and pictures and furniture. You just have to dust and clean them and clean around them." I grew up in a very minimal household. When I got married in my 30s everything I owned fit in the trunk of a car. I have more now, but I could still easily live in a single room. Much of my enjoyment of the digital age, is the amount of stuff I can have access to without cluttering up my life. All my music, books, pictures and movies fit on a small hard drive that fits in my pocket. I bought boxed software, which when it came I kept the floppy or CD, the rest went to the trash. Even at the time it seemed such a waste of resources. I know there seems great nostalgia for floppies and such, but I was really glad when we stopped using them. Even back in the day, I would make a copy of the floppy and then just toss the floppy.

Haha Seb, a virtual multi play yes  Mine really should arrive soon, i ordered it a while back. Problem here is post office seem to be on a permanent strike at the moment

Did you get a shipping notice from the shop yet? And it's just so nice to have something tangible in your hands, that you can touch, feel, look at.

Well, I have found that delivery estimate not very reliable. When I ordered The Queen's Footsteps it arrived many days earlier than with the estimate, Silk Dust too a little longer. You might get lucky and get it before Christmas or right before New Year :-) Anyone else ordered the game?

Posting from the Mac IIci as I take a break after playing for a good hour. Love the vivid picture with which the scenery is described. And the scenario is so unique. Even as I just discover the villa and its surroundings, talking to people, getting my first item, I'm already drawn into this world. Kids had the biggest fun with the compass from the box. No idea if that one is necessary for completing the game (hard to imagine?) but now my kids learnt how to read a compass. Didn't have one of those in my hands since leaving the army How far are you, Neal? Did you play any?

I’ve not spent to long on it today, wife finished work early. Not a genre i’m played before seems intriguing. Yes the box of goodies is a really nice touch. Yes I couldn’t work out what the compass was for but like it alot. Great your kids loved it

What I really recommend is drawing a map while proceeding in the game. Either using pen & pencil or MacDraw (as I do). Going to explore the city some more today and already had my first romantic encounter. Unexpected yet I knew something was about to happen :-D

Oh my god, wow! Sounds exciting. Good shout on the map. The compass all of a sudden makes sense. Tomorrow afternoon i should get a food few hours play time.

Not my usual game to be honest but it’s good to try need things and it’s very well suited to my little b&w mac. Some warm and fuzzy about putting a floppy in to play

Hello! I hope you enjoyed the game. In the last few months, I have been composing music for the game. The last I composed is called Varenna Suite and is written for full orchestra, quite a challenge for me. I hope you will like it!
