I wonder if any of you can help me out with that one - I want to use a multimeter and measure the values of my Mac IIci power supply when plugged in.

Does anyone have the correct values a properly working IIci PSU should give ?

This old thread provides the pinout voltages for a Mac II power supply. I do not know it the Mac II and the Mac IIci have the same power supplies.

Thank you wove! I need to check values again tonight and see if that one fits mine and if anything gives me a clue as to why it would hang at the "Welcome to Macintosh" screen.

I guess I'll have to look into converting an ATX power supply to fit into the IIci. Reportedly that is possible with relatively simple means. I'll report back :)

So indeed, the IIci PSU gave odd voltages. Given that it was built in 1989 (first gen IIci!) and saw heavy duty in a creative agency before it come into my home, it's a true testament to the longetivity of old Apple gear. My guss is there won't be too many MacBook Air's still around in 30 years ...

Anyway, instead of converting an ATX psu I gave the original PSU into professional hands for a recap. Cost me 39.99 euros (somewhat below 50 USD) and I got it back with all caps changed and cleaned - good as new. IIci has been running very stable for hours now. Yay.
