Talked to Knezzen on the phone the other day (who is buried in work, thus his scarce appearance here lately). We both find that we'd like to push System 7 Today more by providing more System 7 specific content and making it the ultimate source for everyone running any form of System 7. So we're looking for helping hands who want to contribute! Fun part is that this is a hobby, so you finally work on something you love! :-) There's no obligations and no one is bossing you around. Got a good idea - then let's do it!  We're looking to expand all kind of contents: - Test software & hardware and write about it. - Compile the ultimate update list for System 7.1 - Expand our Help Center Q&A and tutorials. - Like to test Desk Accessories or System Sounds and help building our very-soon-coming Goodies category? - Or rather create some exclusive content (patterns, wallpapers, sounds etc.) yourself? We're totally open to new ideas too. Let us know in this thread if you're interested and we get back to you :-) |

Can probably make wallpapers as i do it all the time currenetly on my early 2008 macbook pro running windoze 2000

I'd love to be of help. I like to write, and I've just acquired a Quadra 610 that will be the first 68k Mac I've owned in about 20 years. I'll be getting it up and running with System 7. I'd be happy to contribute to any of the efforts you mentioned above.

As far as graphic file formats, I imagine the PICT format would be ideal since it has a good quality-to-size ratio and tends to need less resources overall

@snes - use PICT format as cballero suggested or save it as a jpg. @mac-cellar - exciting news! Congrats on the Quadra 610. Open up a thread and let us know about your experience when it gets to you! (and send me a PM if you're ready to write, please )

That sounds (insanely) great! ;-) We are particularly looking for tutorial articles on how to get things done with System 7. While we'd love to have more articles on programming for System 7, we're open to everything that's relevant. Just drop me a line before you start typing away - I wouldn't want you to spend time on writing something that e.g. somebody else is already working on.

BOOM!! got my start page done as well as my first article using basilisk ii running system 7.1 http://home.macintosh.garden/ but for some reason it isn't showing my article

Got it and just answered you :-) There's a checkbox in the message form you need to check to have it saved in your sent box.

@snes1423 Well that is some progress on the blog anyway. I am sure you will get it sorted out. I will be interested to see your thoughts on working with System 7. Not to be a nick picker, but in your title "like too use" should properly "like to use".

Yeah im looking for those types of suggestions never been good at grammar i did do the article @Wove on the subject of Basilisk II running on a iphone but as i pm'd @Bolksonj the garden hosting service will not let me use two html files at the same time and im making this via pagemill and homepage so im not sure what to do it seemed @fogwraith wasn't sure either
